Zamani
is an Iranian
arachnologist
who received his
B.Sc. in Animal
Biology and
M.Sc. in Animal
Biosystematics
from University
of Tehran, and
currently is a
Ph.D. candidate
at Biodiversity
Unit of
University of
Turku. His main
research
interests are
the taxonomy,
systematics and
biogeography of
Iranian spiders.
He has
co-recorded over
200 new taxa for
the fauna of
Iran and has
been involved
with the
description of
several new taxa. |

Omid
Mirshamsi
is an Iranian
arachnologist
who received his
Ph.D. from
University of
Tehran, with a
main interest
toward the
systematics and
distribution of
the scorpion
family Buthidae
in Iran. He is
also interested
in the
distribution and
taxonomy of
spiders of
northeastern
Iran. Currently,
he is an
Associate
Professor at the
Ferdowsi
University of
Mashhad. |

Yuri M.
Marusik
is a Russian
arachnologist
who graduated
from the St.
Petersburg State
University in
1984, received
his Ph.D. in
1988 and his
D.Scs. in 2007,
and currently
affiliated with
Institute for
Biological
Problems of the
North RAS. His
research is
connected with
the taxonomy and
distribution of
different spider
families. He has
described over
500 new spider
taxa (both
extant and
fossil),
including 38 new
genera and 2
subfamilies from
tropics to high
Arctic, and has
published over
400 papers in
collaboration
with colleagues
from over 25
countries. |

Majid
Moradmand
is an Iranian
arachnologist
who received his
Ph.D. from the
Goethe
University,
Frankfurt am
Main and the
Senckenberg
Research
Institute in
2013. He is a
specialist on
taxonomy of the
spider family
Sparassidae. He
is interested in
systematics,
molecular
phylogeny and
phylogeography
of spiders,
especially those
from Africa and
south-west Asia.
He is currently
an Assistant
Professor at the
University of
Isfahan. |
